My bikes: Mini-fast track/clown bike

My bikes

So this is just a little project bike that I've been wanting to do for at least a year and a half actually.  I've had these track drops just lying around from my old bike, so I wanted to build this funny bike with it.  I've just been waiting for the right kids bike to pop up on craigslist since then.

My bikes

After finding the right bike and getting a few more parts together, it was literally a 15 minute conversion.  Does this thing look amazing?  Yes.  Is it ridable?  Yes.  The day after I built it, I literally rode it around for roughly 6 hours running errands on it.  Why?  I dunno, it was fun at the time so I just kept riding it.  Next day though, my entire shoulders/arms/back/neck were useless.

I don't think I've ever ridden it since haha.

Anyways, this concludes the series explaining my bikes :)  Hope it was enjoyable! :D

My bikes: BMX

My bikes

I bought this bmx on craigslist, and have ridden it maybe 4 times.  I can't do much on it other than small 180's and small hops, but man is it fun.  Having a small, nimble bike to throw around, and also throw away from you if you're about to bail, is such a good idea.  I don't know why nobody's ever thought of doing tricks on these things yet..  Every time I've ridden this thing, going back to my fixie trixie feels so weird/awkward.  There's just so much bike to handle..

My bikes

That being said, I don't ride this thing too much.  Why?  I started doing tricks and everything on a fixed gear bike.  Every single trick I do, I learned on the fixed gear drivetrain.  I kind of rely on the straps to do most of my tricks.  It took me forever to relearn up to hop and 180 on the bmx, I really don't have the patience to relearn everything again.  And with the weather getting harsher by the day, I don't see myself riding this much more through the winter as well haha :(

My bikes: Mountain thing

My bikes

This is my recently built mountain bike.  I've actually been working on it  for most of summer, just gathering parts and whatnot.  Finally got it put together mid-September.  But I still get to ride it this season and have fun because I just joined the UofT MTB club.  It's a short season, but I get to train and race and just have fun hoping I don't fall.

My bikes

I haven't really gone mountain biking since middle school when I was part of the school team, and riding the trails on my brakeless fixed gear trick bike reminded me of the fun.  It was kind of frustrating of course to be riding up and down dirt hills with a bike meant for 1. streets 2. flats 3. not stopping on its own.  So I decided to build myself a bike that I can actually enjoy the trails on.  And I can't be more happy with how the bike turned out.  Obviously it went over budget by about twice the amount, but what kind of budget bike build doesn't?

My bikes: Winter warrrior

My bikes

This is my winter beater/commuter.  I ride this thing around when the weatherman tells me it's going to rain, or if I know I'll be hitting the grocery stores on my way home from school haha.  Yes, if this bike looks familiar, it's my old old Allcity Dropout LE that I crimped (ugh) and bent to shit.  I semi-straightened it out with a 2x4 and the rear triangle's a little crooked but rides completely straight somehow.  I really can't complain.

My bikes

This is actually a really comfortable ride, in the scorching summer heat I rode this around and just stuffed my huge YNOT bag into the basket so I wouldn't end up with a wet back haha.

And this is the bike when it was set up as my 26" beast, although someone complimented it by saying it's a nice cruiser.. Haha..

Photobucket

This entire video was filmed on a bent frame holding on for dear life haha.

My bikes: Fixie trixie

My bikes

This is my main bike: Breakbrake17 Charmer26.  When it's not raining and I don't necessarily need a bike with a basket, I'm usually riding this thing around.  Yeah, everyone's against the idea of commuting on a bike set up for tricks, but the truth is, it's not half bad.  I ride a pretty decent gear ratio on there and unless I need to reach a ridiculous top speed, I'm good to go.  Also, having no hills in Toronto helps a ton haha.

My bikes

I really need to thank Breakbrake17 and Unknown Bike Co.  I wouldn't be riding a bike as awesome as this without their support!

My bikes

Those of you who know me personally know, that I have too many bikes to fit in this little basement apartment I currently reside in.  Those of you who don't know me, will soon find out.  I've been asked many times what kind of bikes I own/ride, so I decided to just show them all here, one by one, day by day.  Even though I only own 5 bikes, when those 5 bikes along with the  retarded amounts of parts accumulated with them take up nearly half of your place, it gets significant.

These are my bikes, and I'll get into more details on each bike each day.
