Bikes in the city: Globe Roll 2

As I was riding by the other day, I noticed this bike locked up.  It looked like a decent bike from afar, but as I got closer to it, I couldn't tell what it was.  After a quick inspection, it turned out to be a Globe Roll 2.  Globe is a brand that branched off from Specialized, I don't know why, and I don't really care to be honest haha.

It had some nice details though, for example, the fork dropouts.  It integrated the hub bolt into it with a flush looking washer thing, and made the whole thing look super smooth and sleek.  I wonder what the actually quality of the hubs are though, but being sealed bearings, it'll probably be just like Formula's, which are pretty decent.

I think these go for around $800, if you're not into the trick thing at all and just wanted a bike that looks pretty, I think this might be an okay find!

  1. My friend has this bike and it's decent. Only bad thing is that the handle bars and the stem are welded together.

  2. Yeah I've seen that on a few other modern bikes, and I'd have to say I think they look sleek. But yeah, if you need the adjustment, all you need to replace are the stmem/bars.
